Inspiration Valley: Riccardo Giraldi- 05.03.24

For the upcoming webinar in collaboration with Silicon Valley Study Tour, Innovit - Italian Innovation and Culture Hub, ITA - Italian Trade Agency, Silicon Valley Fellowship and LeadTheFuture, Riccardo Giraldi will share his experience as Director UX at Google.

Born in Pistoia, Italy, Riccardo is a self-taught programmer, product designer, and dedicated inventor. His passions lie in human-computer interaction, augmenting human capabilities, ambient computing, and social robotics, combining interests in design, art, business, philosophy, and technology. Having lived in Florence, London, Stockholm, New York, Seattle, and now San Francisco, he continues to pursue his diverse interests.

Riccardo's objective is to develop solutions that enhance people's lives and contribute to the advancement of a more inclusive and sustainable future. He is particularly intrigued by the evolving dynamics of our interaction with technology and strives to comprehend its societal impact.

Riccardo led the Product Experience organization at Zoox, focusing on creating a fully autonomous fleet of robotaxis for safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable personal mobility. At Microsoft, he played a key role in incubating innovative applications and devices, including Microsoft HoloLens 1 and 2, Mixed Reality applications, and unique devices like Surface Hub 2 and Surface Duo, along with special projects in AI and spatial computing.

Riccardo, now at Google, contributes to shaping the future of Personal AI by developing user-friendly, always helpful, and accessible solutions. His focus includes enabling frictionless access to knowledge, enhancing creativity and productivity, and facilitating actions on behalf of users through natural interactions, contextual awareness, and human literacy.
